BWI
- Biodiversity and Wine Initiative The BWI is a pioneering
partnership between the South African wine industry
and the conservation sector. The goals are to minimise
the further loss of threatened natural habitat, and
to contribute to sustainable wine production, through
the adoption of biodiversity guidelines by the South
African wine industry.
WWF South Africa was founded
in 1968 by the late Dr. Anton Rupert and was then know
as the Southern African Nature Foundation. Throughout
the past 40 years, this national office of the leading
global conservation organization, are still committed
to conserve the natural heritage of South Africa for
future generations.
The Conservancy would like to
thank all our volunteers of 2010 and special thanks
to Luzian and Lena Graber from Switzerland for your
help throughout the past five months. We truly appreciate
it and could not have accomplished what we did without
the help of our volunteers.
